The above conference recently held at the Samsung Centre, Wynyard was attended by myself to present a poster demonstrating the findings of a recent audit undertaken by the Health Advisers in Middlesbrough General Hospital.
The conference "Shaping the future:Pacing the change" was an exteremely informative event. The topics presented included the Modernisation Agenda, Shared Governance, Effective Leadership, and Multi-agency collaboration. In addition to this, lecturers from the School of Health discussed some of the preliminary findings from their ongoing three year research study into sex education across a selection of schools within the region, which has so far proved very interesting.
Once again it was a valuable opportunity to network, and with the help of the poster, further awareness was created of the GUM Departments activities.
