The fifth annual Teesside Sexual Health Conference took place at the Education Centre, The James Cook University Hospital on Saturday, 13th March 2004. Delegates from all over the country attended the conference, which was chaired by Dr Sakina Rashid. The morning session was devoted to lectures and the afternoon session was devoted to the two workshops.
The first lecture, "Chlamydia trachomatis: Portsmouth experience", was given by Dr Jean Tobin, a Consultant
The second lecture, "Techniques of Fertility Control", was delivered by Mr Babatunde Gbolade, the Director of Fertility Control Unit, Leeds.
At the feedback session, all the facilitators presented various views, comments and opinions from their groups. Members of the audience also gave their reactions. This is the second year that students from local colleges were able to attend. They all said that they found the conference useful.
